Dr.
Juan Montero II ¦ President/Founder
Dr. Juan Montero, II is the Founder
and President of Montero Medical Missions.
Dr. Montero was born and raised in the Philippines.
He is a retired general and non-cardiac
thoracic surgeon - specialties he practiced
for 35 years in the Hampton Roads area.
Dr. Montero is the recipient of numerous
awards, honors, citations, and recognitions
among them being the Philippines Presidential
Humanitarian [Linkapil] Award, American
College of Surgeons Inaugural Surgical Volunteerism
Award, Humanism in Medicine Award by Association
of American Medical Colleges. He is the
founder of the Chesapeake Care Free Clinic,
one of the most comprehensive free clinics
in the nation. Dr. Montero's vision for
Montero Medical Missions, is that expatriate
physicians will now have a ready vehicle
for volunteerism to give back to their respective
homelands and in so doing, create sustainable
healthcare projects. |

Dr.
G. Peyton Neatrour ¦ Vice President
Dr. G. Peyton Neatrour is the
Vice President of Montero Medical Missions.
Dr. Neatrour founded Beach Eye Care in 1991
and has now grown the practice to include
three locations throughout the Virginia
Beach area. Dr. Neatrour is board certified
in ophthalmology (by the American Board
of Ophthalmology) and in both LASIK and
cataract surgery (by the American Board
of Eye Surgery). Dr. Neatrour is an assistant
professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School,
a consulting physician to the University
of Virginia School of Medicine, and a Fellow
of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
As a pioneer for LASIK in Hampton Roads,
Dr. Neatrour has performed more than 25,000
LASIK and other vision correction procedures
and is regarded as a leader and innovator
in bringing new technology to eastern Virginia.
He introduced all laser Intralasik to Virginia
in 2002 and Beach Eye Care is the first
and only practice with the advanced iFS
Intralase technology. Dr. Neatrour has already
participated in an eye-care mission in the
Philippines. He is dedicated and will continue
to contribute his services and knowledge
to Montero Medical Missions. |

Chance
Wilson ¦ Chairman of Marketing &
Development
Chance Wilson is the Chairman
of Marketing & Development for Montero
Medical Missions. He is also the Head of
Regional Development for BINCHMARK Marketing
& Agency. BINCHMARK provides comprehensive
marketing, creative media, and business
management services to small and mid size
businesses and corporations with clientele
such as WSKY-TV Channel 4, Darden Publishing,
Fort Norfolk Medical facility. Chance has
over eight years of experience in project
development and marketing industry. He has
won multiple awards and has been recognized
locally for his innovation and commitment
to excellence. He assists in various campaigns
for non-profit development and promotion
for such organizations as Teens With A Purpose,
For Teen Empowerment (an organization supported
by NBC's Today Show’s Al Roker, and
Survivors Not Victims, Inc. based in Hampton
Va. As the Chairman of Marketing, Chance
uses his expertise and marketing services
to contribute to the development and overall
awareness of Montero Medical Missions locally
and abroad. |

Cynthia
D. Smith ¦ Treasurer
Cynthia Smith is the accounts and
human resources manager for American Orthotic
& Prosthetic Center, Inc., a company
owned and operated by Cynthia and her husband
Michael. She has always found time to add
volunteer work to her responsibilities as
a businesswoman, wife and mother. During
her time with the Peace Corps in West Africa
she addressed maternal/child healthcare
and helped to improve the infant mortality
rate. She has been Eucharistic Minister
for Chesapeake General Hospital and a religious
educator at St. Matthews Catholic School.
In addition to her work with Montero Medical
Missions, she is setting up a program “Bake
for the Cure” to benefit St. Jude’s
Children's Hospitals.

Vincent
R. Olivieri ¦ Legal Council
Vincent R. Olivieri is the Director of Legal
Services for Montero Medical Missions. Mr.
Olivieri is a partner at Inman & Strickler
focusing his practice in the areas of Commercial
Real Estate, Estate Planning, Business Law,
and Bankruptcy. He received his B.S. in
Accounting from St. John's University and
earned his J.D. from Catholic University
of America.
Mr. Olivieri is a member of the Virginia
Beach Bar Association. He is also a board
member and Past President of the Virginia
Beach Forum, and is active with the Virginia
Beach Foundation, having been Chairman of
the “Beach Fund”. He is a previous
member of the Tidewater Builders Association
(Board Member, State Representative and
Associate Vice President), and the Virginia
Beach Estate Planning Council (Past President).
He is also a life member of the Virginia
Jaycees. Mr. Olivieri will contribute this
extended experience and information to assist
in the overall success of Montero Medical
Missions. |

Nina
Troyer ¦ Secretary
Nina Troyer is the secretary for
Montero Medical Missions. Nina brings a
wealth of knowledge as she is a local business
women and co-owner/operator, along with
her husband Merv, of seven golf courses
within the Hampton Roads area. Nina has
been a strong supporter of Chesapeake 4-H,
Chesapeake Care Free Clinic, St. Judes Children's
Hospital, and Mennonite Central Committee
(an international aid agency) for many years.
Nina has chosen Montero Medical Missions
for a special focus during her retirement
years. |

James
W. Ireland ¦ Director Of Logistics
Jim Ireland has an impressive
43 years of experience to include 26 years
of military service as a retired Army Colonel.
In addition to numerous leadership positions
including assignments in the Pentagon, the
Office of the Secretary of the Army and
others, during Operation Desert Storm/Desert
Farewell (the largest logistical undertaking
in our nation’s history) Jim was 1st
Area Support Group Commander. Upon retirement
from the military, Jim held the position
as Director of Logistics Integration for
Sears. During his nine years with Sears
he received many awards including selection
to CEO’s top 100 executives.
Jim earned a BS in Business Administration
from Indiana University, a Masters of Arts
Degree in Business Ad-ministration from
Webster University, and a Masters of Science
Degree in Logistics Management from the
Florida Institute of Technology. Montero
Medical Mission is delighted to have Jim
Ireland as Director of Logistics for our
missions. |

David
Hall ¦ Fundraising Committee
David Hall is the owner of Coastal
Karaoke. His motto— “Enjoying
blessings of the Tithe! Remember, give Jesus
that first 10%...He will take care of the
rest!” David believes in tithing his
time as well as his money. He is an avid
fundraiser for Physicians for Peace and
Chesapeake Care Free Clinic. David also
enjoys teaching technology education at
local public schools. |

Lois
Shafter Asimos ¦ Board Member
Lois Shafter Asimos is a Certified
Medical Practice Executive. She has extensive
healthcare business operations and business
development experience including managing
and marketing dental and medical practices,
home health agencies, hospital systems,
and a clinical research site. Lois has served
on several healthcare and/or academic advisory
boards, participated in training videos,
and authored published articles. Active
in many professional organizations throughout
her career, Lois is currently a member of
the American College of Medical Practice
Executives, Medical Group Management Association,
and the Virginia Task Force on Aging and
she participates in several networking groups. |
